Configuration

 


1) Open Outlook 97
2) Select Services from the Tools menu.
The Services window with open displaying all the information services that are set up in this profile.
3) Click Add and select Internet Mail.
The Internet Mail properties window will open and prompt you to enter your mail settings.
  Personal Information
  Enter Full Name: Bubba Bubbaloo
  Enter E-mail Address: bubba@radcafe.com
  Mailbox Information
  Internet Mail server: POP3
  IncomingMail (POP3) mail.radcafe.com
  Outgoing Mail (SMTP) mail.radcafe.com
  Account Name: user_id@rc.multidial.com
  Password: password
4) Click OK.
5) Click on the Connection tab
  In the Connecting to Internet Mail area select your dial up connection.
  n the Connecting to Internet Mail area select: Connect using the modem
  In the Dial using the following connection select: radcafe
6) Below the dial using the following connection window click on Login As.
The Login As window will open and prompt you for your:
User Name and Password. Type them in.
Note: both account name and password are case sensitive.
7) Click OK to the Login As window.
8) Click Apply at the bottom of the main Internet Mail window.

Outlook by default will check for new mail every 15 minutes. To change the time intervals between connection click on the Schedule button in the Transferring Internet Mail area.

You can also create another Dial Up Network Connection. Just click the Add Entry button on the Connection window.

Edit the Dial Up Network Connection by clicking on the Edit Entry button on the Connection window.

Once the Internet Mail Service is created and listed in the Services window. You can change the settings by highlighting Internet Mail and clicking on Properties.
